Get to know about me!
I'm Sejeong, a UI/UX and graphic designer from South Korea who focuses on user-centered design and visuals. Currently, I'm a third-year student of Honours Bachelor of Interaction Design at Sheridan College. I was born in Busan, a port city in South Korea, on August 27, 2002. Influenced by my mother, a musician, I began learning the piano, violin, and the traditional Korean instrument, gayageum, at the age of two.
Alongside music, I started learning Mandarin and English at the age of three. Due to my father's job, our family immigrated to São Paulo, Brazil in 2014 when I was twelve years old. Despite having attended an English academy in Korea, adapting to a British international school (British College of Brazil) was incredibly challenging. However, after about two years in Brazil, I gradually made friends and adapted to the environment. From then on, I immersed myself in studying Portuguese and Spanish at school while receiving additional tutoring in English, Portuguese, and Spanish at home.
Approaching high school, I transferred to an American international school called Graded, where I discovered a course called Multimedia Art. As a fan of Korean new media artist Nam June Paik, I was drawn to this course, which sparked my interest in graphic and interaction design. This led me to experiment with Photoshop, creating posters and GIFs to express my ideas. After graduating the high school online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my family moved to Moscow, Russia. Inspired by its rich architecture and art, I decided to study Interaction Design at Sheridan College in Canada.
